Notes cause tabs to re-arrange

Rocket 4 years ago updated by August Mohr 4 years ago 1

Hi, I am trying to have all my 25 tabs in one chrome browser window, with TO managing the tabs. In the window with 25 tabs, I am trying to add notes to give heading to the tabs e.g. Sports, News, Weather, etc. I then move the tabs under the appropriate note. All good so far. But when I double click to view a tab, all the tabs move around the order is completely lost. In other words, the tabs move under different notes, or don't even fall under the notes. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to group the tabs under one heading? thanks

It doesn't sound on the surface like you're doing anything wrong with TO. Are you using any other Chrome extensions that might rearrange the tabs? There are many out there, like "Tab Sorter" or "Rearrange Tabs".

Whenever you manually arrange the tabs in the browser window, TO will attempt to match, but it won't know where to put them relative to the Notes, because the notes aren't in the browser. I assume that the same thing will happen when the tabs are rearranged by another extension.

Try watching carefully as you sort the tabs to see what's in the browser and what's in TO. Maybe try hiding the whole window (with the big green X icon in TO) and then reopening it.

I've been using TO for years and I don't recall any such issues.

Good luck and come back with your experimental results.
