Backup/export save not working?

Sirt 11 years ago updated by Johana Moreno 11 years ago 7

I must be doing something stupid, but the html file produced by saving the Tabs Outliner window either as html only or as a complete html (all nodes expanded) only contains a separator.

It would be great if this worked as expected, as I don't like dragging to an open window nor saving in MS Word format in order to have a Tabs Outliner backup file.

Speaking of backup - any ideas how to streamline the process? Where is the Tabs Outliner data stored?

Here is the contents of the file produced for your enjoyment: (Thanks!)

Really strange, just tried - saved perfectly ok for me. It is actualy not the TO save the file but Chrome. So i cannot understand how it is possible that if tree is present in the window it was not saved in file.

Do you save it by Ctrl-S ?

As for internal data backup, consult this:

https://groups.google.com/d/msg/tabs-outliner-support-group/eKubL9Iw230/wQXOP1m90NoJ

soon there will be also an a Cloud backup

meantime i just recommend to backup the full Chrome profile everyday.

If you have a system drive backup you most likely already performing the backup of the Chrome profile.

Its look like you are not save the tree by Ctrl-S but use some other method, that only take the source. Not the generated by script content.

What version of Chrome do you use?

Chrome Version 25.0.1364.172

Tried again by Ctrl-S. "Save HTML only" did not work (file produced only contains a separator line). "Save as Complete page" did work this time around.

Sorry for the false alarm and many thanks for the prompt reply!

By the way, I have been trying out Tabs Outliner for a couple of days now and I like it more and more. Have gone down from 290 open tabs to 100 tabs then to 14 tabs, Chrome is responsive again, and my browsing feels much more organised and comfortable.

Many thanks again!

Thanks : )

Best regards

PS Hope you don't forget to click 5 stars in reviews section ; )

Also thanks for this follow up, i was not known that it is not working if "Save HTML only" is used to save the  tree. Will be know now what to answer on similar requests.

Hi!

I just started trying Tabs Outliner and so far it looks great,

but before I feel safe enough to close my open tabs, I'd really like to make a backup, so,

I've been trying CTRL-S like crazy but without any results (nothing happens).

Any clues?

Thanks!
