if you can please make some screenshots of this Phantom Tabs and the window node in which they happen.

Or just describe is the window node which contain

such tab is gray (saved) or blue?

Ok, that is the latest version...

Then that is means my workaround is not completely complete...

Bad that i cannot reproduce this myself.

But i have some ideas of what can be done, will try in next release (in 2-3 days).

There was similar problem after Chrome v26 update, it did happens when users manually type something in address bar, sometimes, very rarely, but i was managed to reproduce it and cover. Is this same or something another need investigate but i will do some changes.

Just to be sure, please mention your version of TO.

There was such problem after Chrome v26 was released. It has some bugs. So i did workaround a version or 2 ago. And looks like it cover most of the such cases. Yet of course it might be not complete. But also it is possible that you use not updated version of TO.

Will ask once again to clarify.

I am sure that you saw the Phantom Tabs.

What i ask and trying to understand - is the Phantom Tabs appears not in a window they was closed. Or you not absolutely sure in this?

Also will be cool to know the urls...

I maybe known some reasons for this effect. And plan to fix (yet unfortunately never seen it in my tree). But in current my theory of how they appears they cannot change the window, if this is what i am thinking about.

Also please mention your Tabs Outliner version (can be seen in about window).

> Furthermore, they often show up in a different part of the tree (different window) than where they were originally.

Are you 100% sure?

Also, did you enable the Tabs Outliner in Incognito mode? (not recommended by the way)

Some possibility to restore windows in original position if they was saved-closed by green-x or by "close all" is already there for sometime, but this must be enabled in options to work.

Yet the changed position of windows will not be remembered if they was saved automatically in the result of crash or because, for example, they have the custom title or placed inside some group (in this case on close initiated from Chrome they become saved, but with the size and position they have on open, not on close).

The reason for this - to make it work in all cases need implement constant pooling for windows sizes (it's not a CPU or resources friendly and i just don't like this idea), also will be needed to initiate the save on any window size change, and in future an a synchronize event which will goes to server side to synchronize the database. All of this raise too big issues for such a small feature.

Maybe it will be improved in future to cover more cases, when there will be no other more important problems anymore.

For sometime already it is possible to configure colors of the Tabs Outliner main items. See the options.

Just review the bugs and found this issue, sorry for late status update.

Non an issue as if the item have the unload icon then it is represent the open Chrome item (tab of window). If accidentally deleted such items can be always restored from Chrome by the "Recent closed windows/tabs list".

The undo is planed anyway, and other features which can help resolve this issue even further, like the tree aware history, but this issue, as it is formulated, is actually not very critical - exactly this case - items with unload and delete icons actually have the undo possibility. So meantime i just trash this bug.

The delete for individual saved items is very rarely used,

mostly they first collected by drag&drop in some hierarchy and deleted as a whole hierarchy (by collapsing it). I never delete actualy individual items.

As for open items - again, rarely needed to save individual tabs actually. Mostly this is done for a whole window. And the open window in case of accident deletion can be restored from Chrome.

So how much critical is this issue i am really not sure. For a year of very active use i so far never ever delete something by accident...

Yet undo will be soon anyway, because it is need for this thing to become a real Outliner...

Undo will be really soon...

I hope....

Note that trash already trash only one item, except for open windows,

but in this case it can be reopened from the recently closed list from Chrome (can be found in every new tab)
