Well, I can confirm it was set on the computer having the problem, and not set on at least one that wasn't having the problem.  So that's probably it, but I'll post here again if I see it still happening.

Is there any way a notice can be shown to the user if this flag is set when it shouldn't be? Like a 'checkup' command?
