stored tabs get mixed in too easily with crashed tabs

Hi, so I use "resume where I left off" in order to get back to the windows that I had open in Chrome when I reboot my computer. If I try to use "tabs outliner" to put some tabs into storage, after my chrome windows are opened again,
1) I get a bunch of "crashed" tabs listed in tabs outliner.  I'd be happy if I could turn this off.
2) my stored tabs are sorted along with the "crashed" tabs, but copies are not mixed in with the currently opened tabs, which came from the session restore.  It would be nice if the stored tabs were also mixed in with the re-opened tabs.

Or it would be nice if the stored tabs could be isolated so I could always find them whatever is happening with my other tabs.

This is keeping me from being able to use tabs outliner.

Known problem. Really this tool is mostly unusable for users who have the option "Continue where i left off" turned on.

This is because of the luck of appropriate API in Chrome itself, to correctly distinguish reopened tabs from new, and normally closed (on Chrome exit) from crashed

Mostly this tool is for a real tabs addicts, and they actually very rarely restart the Chrome, so this is not a huge issue for them.

Yet your suggestion to just give the option to turn off the crashed windows management might help to make it more compatible for your case.

Need to think. It might be quick and easy fix.

I would be interested to see any data on how many of your users would prefer to use Pick up where I left off.
Either way, a 1 click "clear all crashed windows" would work great - or even the ability to just never record these so called "crashed" windows. Which for me (and I think many of us here) are not actually crashes

Hi, First off, let me say that I am a huge fan of what you are doing and thank you so much for your consideration.

Another solution would be to add the option to sort the tabs list so that stored tabs would always be at the bottom.  That way they wouldn't get easily mixed in with the crashed or non-crashed tabs and it would solve my concerns as well.

Cheers!

I'm a huge fans of tabs, your extension is great, but this is SO true, I ALWAYS END WITH TONS OF CRASHES (that in fact never crashed, probably I quited chrome with CMD+Q. I ALWAYS RESTART CHROME with all my previous loaded teabs. please fix this, put a option to disable restore crash, or group it in a single tree. simple as that i could delete all crashes with a single click

I agree with Arnold, a feature to remove many or all crashed tabs in a single command would be very welcome. I started using Tabs Outliner in April and find it very useful, but now I have thousands of crashed tabs in my list and to remove them one by one takes so much time it just isn't happening.

What would be even better is a setting to forget crashed tabs after a configurable period of time, that would be awesome. If you fix this problem I will seriously consider becoming a contributing member as your plugin has improved Chrome for me.

Also, it would be good if the most recently used windows would always be at the bottom of the list.

Thanks for a good tool! :-)
