TO Extension for Opera Sidebar

Now that Opera supports sidebar extensions (addons.opera.com/en/extensions/?tag=sidebar), it would be awesome to see a TO implementation for the browser taking advantage of that.
I will check it. It will be a good reason to start support Opera oficcialy.

Hi, I'm wondering if you've had a good chance to look at this.

I'm a paid TO user and I'm starting to look at using other browsers because of Chrome's excessive memory consumption. Opera looks good, and TO seems to work on it via its Chrome Extension. However, to activate the paid features, TO needs to read my Chrome profile, which of course doesn't exist on Opera.

Does Opera really use less memory for you?

I am running into the same issue as Sridhar.

I keep running into this issue:

"Warning: Permission to access Chrome Profile email address is not granted. To validate your license key and further configure online backup to your Google Drive account, Tabs Outliner needs access to your Chrome Profile identity and email. Please grant access."

Is there a way to do this in Opera? If not, is there any ETA on TO becoming available for Opera users / in the Opera add-ons store?

Still waiting for official Opera support.

It's been 5 years :(

TO is a great software. I only use Chrome because of its licensing limitation.

If u're gonna leave it, please please make it open source so it doesn't die!

Same issue as those above.  Is there any way to get utilize the Chrome Profile in Opera?  Or, since it appears you haven't touched Tabs Outliner in more than a year and a half, maybe you could open the source, or disable licencing requirement for full features?

I agree with the others- I have been using the free version of Tabs Outliner with Opera for a while, and I love it. I don't want to switch to Chrome because I like Opera's built-in features and how it's not Google, which tracks everything we do and subtly manipulates us with its tailored search results, et cetera.

I know I would eventually be able to use TO with Opera if it was made open-source... I used to want to pay for the paid version in Opera- but now I don't, because I don't know what I'm paying for. I don't think I'm supporting any of the additions mentioned by TO: "Tags with autocompletion, custom styles, node's icons, multi-select, undo, better and richer notes, better search, real-time backup of all changes, fully synchronized remote editing, mobile access."

Is there an architecture rewrite I should be looking forward to? "... the ongoing architecture rewrite that must hugely improve performance and memory management within the big trees. Future development of this tool depends on your support."

You can install it in Opera, but it wont work with paid mode.

I patched it (one-liner), but can't provide instructions, as it could be used to crack the plugin.

Just some information, that could help Vladyslav resolving the issue:

chrome.identity.getProfileUserInfo() does not exist in Opera.

This is the reason, that the userInfo object is not defined and its email field not populated.

The current way, the auth works will never allow to use Opera.

You should have a look into https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/identity as

launchWebAuthFlow() might be the solution.

can you please provide a bit more specific instructions on how to adapt TO authorization for Opera? Or more specifically: how can I enable Google Drive backup in TO for Opera? I'll try to do it myself but my knowledge of JS is not that great.
