Sort tabs in folders

Larry Farnsworth 3 years ago • updated by Brett Adam 2 weeks ago 4

I create quite a few tabs in a window, and the list gets quite big. Sometimes I inadvertently create a tab that is the same as one in the list. I would love to be able to sort the tabs in a window so I can easily see duplicate tabs and remove them. Ideally I'd love a dedupe feature, but that sounds complicated and hard. :)

I too would like to be able to sort tabs by name.

I just saved about 70 tabs and there are numerous sub pages from the same site, etc. Being able to sort the list of tabs would be a big help. I'm sure that would have to be a paid feature and that's fine.
Thanks.

Thread resuscitation!

Paid user here, I find some kind of sorting feature is one of the biggest absences so I'd also like to request its consideration.  Even limited sorting within a node would be helpful, since we could dump tabs and windows in to a holding node, flatten the heirarchy, then sort to find dups.

Also a paid user here. I second this recommendation.

There's a whole lot of related suggestions here for sorting that mostly revolve around cleaning up duplicate / large tab lists.

Sort folders alphabetically

Sort tabs in windows

Option to sort last opened urls

Make it easier to edit/delete

(Sadly userecho won't let the community self-organize and propose merges to duplicate suggestions...)

Even without automated duplicate removal, sorting the lists (either globally, or by Group/Window/...etc) would be a key step to enable folks to clean up their own lists. Please consider.
