Show correct shortcut on Mac OS X

Spencer Sutton 8 years ago updated 8 years ago 4

In the right click menu and help screen it should show the correct keyboard shortcuts. As far as I can tell this only affects shortcuts with Ctrl in them.

For copy, paste and cut: replace Ctrl with Cmd

For moving items: Cmd+Ctrl+Arrow works instead of just Cmd or Ctrl+Arrow.

Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End work like expected.

Open Link in Last Window: Ctrl+Shift+Click works instead of just Ctrl+Click

Ctrl+S should be Cmd+S

Ctrl+P works as is.

Ctrl+F should be Cmd+F

Edit: Updated with more accurate info.

Remember window size and position

Graham Smith 12 years ago updated by David L 8 years ago 11

Would it be possible to remember the size and position of a window that is save-closed? When a window is re-opened at the moment it always appears full height regardless of what it looked like when it was closed.

Some possibility to restore windows in original position if they was saved-closed by green-x or by "close all" is already there for sometime, but this must be enabled in options to work.

Yet the changed position of windows will not be remembered if they was saved automatically in the result of crash or because, for example, they have the custom title or placed inside some group (in this case on close initiated from Chrome they become saved, but with the size and position they have on open, not on close).

The reason for this - to make it work in all cases need implement constant pooling for windows sizes (it's not a CPU or resources friendly and i just don't like this idea), also will be needed to initiate the save on any window size change, and in future an a synchronize event which will goes to server side to synchronize the database. All of this raise too big issues for such a small feature.

Maybe it will be improved in future to cover more cases, when there will be no other more important problems anymore.

Can't buy license on chrome, told to sign in despite being signed in

monroe walker 4 years ago 0

I've tried updating the browser, signing out and back in, etc. Can't seem to get through the license purchase flow. Just keep seeing this message:

Warning: Chrome is not Signed In.
Chrome Sign In required to validate your license key and to configure online backup on your Google Drive account. Please Sign In to Chrome and try again.
Alternatively you can open Sign In to Chrome dialog from Chrome settings, or by clicking the Profile name on the top right of any normal Chrome window (above the tabs strip).

Make saved tabs as original links instead of the chrome extension links when using The Great Suspender extension to that suspends inactive tabs, or make a similar auto suspend tab feature.

Jon Bean 5 years ago updated by csilvest 3 years ago 2

I like using this extension but I also like using the great suspender extension to help manage my tabs. I wish they were compatible so that when I copy a tree to another document or text message then it copies the original link and website title instead of the Great Suspender extension link.

Is there a way to switch between different sessions of taboutliner?

MMCC 6 years ago 0

I have a huge tab outliner with 68,000 links stored in it. It's becoming quite slow so I'd like to use a new copy of the outliner as my main one. However, I'd also like to use the old one once in a while to work from my old stored links.

I tried using the latest version of chrome portable, transferred my old taboutliner indexdb folder for tab outliner to it, then installed taboutliner. All of the 68k stored links show, but then it seems to have problems, like when I make changes to the outliner. like if I remove one tab of a stored window, the whole window gets deleted when I close and open google chrome portable again (it sometimes happens, some times doesn't). Sometimes, the changes I made to the taboutliner session doesn't save at all when I close and open google chrome portable again.

Is there another way to access my old tabs? I read that the paid version has back up and restore from google drive, but would it allow me to access my old taboutliner with 68k links in it, while keeping my new fresher one separate?

Closed tabs remain in Tabs Outliner

J C 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 6

This issue just cropped up within the last month.  When I close tabs in Chrome normally, the expected behavior with Tabs Outliner was that it would delete that tab.  Now when I close a tab, it's not deleted in Tabs Outliner.  I have a huge mess on my hands as a result.  See screenshots below for an example of this behavior.  The window had 3 tabs, then 2 of those tabs were closed, yet they remain in Tabs Outliner.  This was not an issue before.
