Tab moves around in the list???

Mark Breitenbach 9 years ago updated 9 years ago 4
I have a few tabs that seem to pop around in the list. I have one window, no groups, several notes used for grouping. I open a new window, browse in it for awhile. It starts out at the bottom of the list  (where all new tabs start unless opened from an existing window), and then at some point, it pops up into one of my note groupings, seemingly randomly (though I'm sure there is some rhyme or reason to it.

I'm going to assume for the moment that that is NOT desirable/coded behavior. I won't want tabs moving around unless I physically drag them somewhere else.

cant manage tabs

Ben White 10 years ago updated by vladyslav volovyk 10 years ago 5
I no longer have the ability to reorder tabs in tabs outliner or really manage them at all... have I locked my tabs some how?
(this would be a feature I would like anyway if I knew how to turn it on and off :P )
Save and trash buttons still work and using chrome tabs outliner is updated.

Can't open tabs by double clicking after I move them around in the tree

Olin 8 years ago updated by vladyslav volovyk 8 years ago 8

I can open a bunch of tabs and open whichever one I want by double clicking on it. However, once I move a tab to re-order it in the tree, I cannot open that tab anymore from within the TO window. When I double click on it, it simply opens the parent tab. This is frustrating because I reorder my tabs frequently.

I tried closing and reopening chrome. I also tried reinstalling the extension.

Cleanup the settings UI

FichteFoll 11 years ago updated by vladyslav volovyk 11 years ago 0

The current lineup of the settings window is a mess. There is a total amount of 2 selectable options which consume like 2 pages of text that nobody is willing to read and another 13 options which are "disabled".

I recommend you to outsource the walls of text for the two available options into some kind of a website (the google group should be fine) and make the actual option (the checkbox) as small as possible without missing too much of information. Usually you only need a few words to explain what an option is doing, the other part is just explaination and does not belong to the "settings".

The other options can just be removed. What do I get from seeing them except that these will maybe be implemented at some point in the future? Imo it's totally fine if you just write "More options to come like changing the color, user css costumisation etc."

Actually, from what users are writing me, you are not right. Some even thanks me for detailed explanations.

Somebody not want to read? Nobody force to.

Plan to add a page of text after any option. Will have longest options screen, isn't it a cool idea? ; )

Crashed windows do not save back/forward history

xfacter 10 years ago updated 10 years ago 2
As the title states. When Chrome crashes for whatever reason, generally Chrome will bring up the windows/tabs open at the time again. These pages all retain their forward/back history, but do not retain their Tabs Outliner tree. Tabs Outliners also saves its own version of the pages, which retain their tree but NOT their forward/back history.

Add context menu for links to open links in "saved" state

Useful then googling. Open a lot of pages in "saved" state, and then open pages one by one.

How to restore from saved .htm file?

I saved the outline to a .htm, then lost a window, so I want to restore from the saved .htm.  How do I do this?

Just drag and drop the hierarchy from saved html file back to main view, or use to reopen links directly

Is there a way to turn off auto save?

ven Torrella 11 years ago updated by vladyslav volovyk 9 years ago 8

I can't seem to find it. I mean, I don't always reopen all previous tabs and I don't like to go through them every time I start chrome. Maybe put a "delete unopened tabs" button?
