New Tab (e.g. Ctrl+T / Cmd+T) as child
Is it possible to create a new tab as child of the current node?
Make a window a child of the parent group, to better organise projects
I have several projects going at the same time: my job, my startup business, a personal project, another personal project, etc.
It would be great to keep these segregated. I could do this using Groups. But when I open a new window (Ctrl/Cmd+N), it is anchored at the top level. I have to manually drag it into the relevant group.
What if, when I hit Ctrl/Cmd+N, the new window is created inside the same group? Then I can keep my projects neatly organised.
how to hide numbers in tab listing
Hello,
Issue with TO window restore and multiple Google Profiles
Great utility, thanks.
I have two Google accounts, and purchased Tabs Outliner for both.
When I have both these options selected:
- Open Tabs Outliner window on Chrome startup.
- Open Tabs Outliner in the same position and size where it was last closed.
... only one of the TO windows (for the first profile) restores correctly. The other window appears to open with a width and height of zero. Windows 10, Chrome 55 (and earlier)
Is it possible to open multiple windows at the same time?
It feels like the functionality of groups should be that when you double click on it all the subwindows should open up. I suppose it's kind of strange that the difference between a group and window is merely visual and not mechanically different at all.
Integrate with Workflowy
Hi Vladyslav, Tabs Outliner has become one of my most essential research and productivity tools.
I also use Workflowy ...http://workflowy.com and recently bought this superb book to be a poweruser: http://www.productivitymashup.com/do-way-way-more-in-workflowy/ If any of you haven't come across Workflowy, I highly recommend it ...the most elegantly simple tool and it's free. The book is full of tips to customise and extend how you use it.
I would love to be able to drag and drop groups of tabs from my Tabs Outliner collection – as live links. I've tried, but all the tabs become a continuous text block with no links.
If anyone knows of hacks for integrating Tabs Outliner with Workflowy, I'd love to hear of them.
If there aren't any at present, please take a look at Workflowy to see if your planned improvements will help with that issue.
Restore tab scroll state
A restored tab does not get its tab history back, but could the tab's scroll state be saved? For articles to finish reading, it's really useless to save them for later if I don't know where I stopped.
Right-click on tab in chrome window should have the ability to move the tab to other window/group
- Right-click on tab in chrome window should have the ability to move the tab to other window/group. Like now you can pin or mute tabs in that context menu with that right-click.
Option to always display tab/group counts (not just when node is collapsed)
Option to always display the tab/group counts (at the moment it only appears in square brackets when a node is collapsed). It might also be nice to have information about the current session in the title bar of TO, (ie. tab/group count of current session) and the session/group name (if named/dated sessions is implemented)
custom hotkeys: make it possible to redefine every hotkey by the user
Hotkeys are nice, must-have feature but especially when using Chrome under Linux you already have quite some hotkeys assigned in other programs. It would be very useful allowing the user to redefine every single hotkey Tabs Outliner uses.
