It would be really nice if backing up to a mounted network drive were possible where use of google drive is prevented

Tabs Outliner as only tabs manager.

MyImagination 7 years ago 0

I would like to use Tabs Outliner not only to supplement tab management but to also (because I like it so much) use it in place of chrome's default tab management.  Basically I want to have the actual tabs/new tab line in the chrome window completely hidden.  Ideally Tabs Outliner would become attachable -it would act as a sidebar- as part of the same window that I have open in place of the current tabs view.  This may be more complex than I realize and require a custom browser to implement but I figure it could be an interesting and useful idea to some of us.  Thank you.

No easy way to know if you are licensed...

Rex Winn 7 years ago 0

I paid for and have the license URL. It copied it off the clipboard once. From then on it keeps nagging me to "paid mode" to support the project or whatever.

Can you make it easier to apply the license once and for all? Also, make the nagging go away? It's an awesome powerful app otherwise. A wiki would be great too.

Keyboard Shortcut for opening tab from search

Taras D 7 years ago updated by Erick Rodriguez 7 years ago 3

To be able to search for tabs and remain mouse free, I think you need a way of activating the tab that's matching the current search pattern. Currently once you've found the tab you need to grab the mouse and manually click.

Is there a way to recover lost sessions

Jay Bee 7 years ago updated by Erick Rodriguez 7 years ago 2

I uninstalled Chrome stating to delete backups. I then reinstalled Chrome and had to reinstall TO. Now I cannot find my old sessions. Is there a way to recover these old sessions.

New Tab anywhere in tree by right-clicking/context menu

JHD 7 years ago 0

The one thing I keep expecting to be able to do, but can't: Open a new tab, wherever I want, by pointing to a place in the hierarchy and right-clicking. (If there's a way to open a tab somewhere other than the bottom of the tree, I haven't found it.)

Send or move any tab to another node with just the Tabs Outliner window open

Max 7 years ago 0

With a large number of nodes in the Tabs Outliner window, it is not easy and also cumbersome to either need two Chrome windows open and drag, or to drag a tab up or down the Tabs Outliner tree. Much easier to have a 'right-click' option to move or copy that tab to another TO Node group. Any chance?

please add safety to node deletions

exegetor 7 years ago updated by carl257 5 years ago 1

As others have noted, undesired deletions have been a concern. I see two mitigations that avoid the trouble of re-opening tabs from Chrome. One is to strictly maintain the three-button layout of "comment", "delete", "save/close". Safety is added by keeping the trashcan area and the green X area separated. The second is to require confirmation of a delete command. Three options that come to mind are, having the delete button respond only to a double-click, using a popup, or using a two-state button that requires two consecutive hits to activate.

Another safety feature I've seen in competitors is a "lock" icon, that prevents deletion by any means while in the locked state. I strongly urge the adoption of *some* form of safety mechanism, if you please.

Creating new window, when there are no open windows except tabsoutliner, reopens all tabs from previously open window

hernersy 7 years ago updated by MZ Guy 7 years ago 2

It's a really weird thing that happens quite frequently. The workaround I have is to always leave some window open and minimised.

I'm using mac osx and chrome, continue where you left off option is off. To get it to happen follow these steps

1. Close all open windows except for tabs outliner

2. Open a new window, either using tabs outliner or the chrome ctrl/cmd+n shortcut

3. All the tabs from the last window to be closed appear in the new window
