Is there a way to simulate "Continue where you left off" function?

Chee 9 years ago 0

My use case before discovering this plug-in: I turn on "Continue where you left off" and I keep around one single window that slowly accumulates more tabs. I know this causes problems with TO, so I turned off that option. What I want to do is essentially maintain the same work flow except being able to save pages into the tree so that it doesn't get as clustered. To replicate that, when closing I need to 1. close and saving window in TO 2. close TO itself and when opening chrome I need to 1. open chrome 2. close new empty window 3. reopen window from TO. Is there a way to click one single button (or preferably one key combination) that closes TO *along* with currently opened windows and next time chrome opens have it automatically reopen the last closed windows (basically condense the actions needed)?

Closing a tab doesn't remove it from the list (on SOME machines!)

Cezar Pokorski 11 years ago updated by Gary 8 years ago 4
Hello.
I share the same Chrome profile between some computers, mostly it is Linux on personal laptop and Windows 7 on work laptop. On my home computer (linux) everything is perfectly fine. On the other one (work Windows) laptop, phantom tabs stay on the list every time I close a tab in any way. This sounds very similar to an issue that was reported as fixed 2 years ago.
Only closing tabs from TO works as expected.
I'd like to repeat once again that this issue is affecting only one of my machines and both use the same Google account = the same extensions.

I found that most likely such behaviour is a result of the fact that your Chrome have the "Enable fast tab/window close" flag enabled.

Go to
chrome://flags/
and disable the
Enable fast tab/window close
option
(it's not standard anyway and is under development)
Please report if this true/helps

Keep an offline image thumbnail of each page tab (reasonable image quality) to be shown when the mouse is over a tab

Keep an offline image thumbnail of the page tab (reasonable image quality) to be shown when the mouse is over a tab.
In order to make this feature more user friendly could be added a tab button, so when the mouse pointer is over this button it shows the thumbnail. Or it can just shows the thumbnail of the tab where the mouse is over at.. In my opinion this would be very handy..

Why there isn't a button for clearing the crashed windows yet?

Yousef Haidar 10 years ago updated by Luke Flegg 5 years ago 1

This is my third topic opened, and this is the main reason why I opened all these topics. First of all let me tell you, I was in so much pain trying to delete 1000+ of crashed windows in the tabs outliner. I am not kidding, if you think that I am, I will be taking it as a personal insult.

What I have done to get all of them removed was to remove tabs outliner and reinstall. When ever I am forced to reinstall something, I consider it as a bug, and I think this is only fair.

multiple databases to improve performance

tabsoutdbes1 10 years ago updated by vladyslav volovyk 10 years ago 3
IIRC, somewhere I read Vladyslav say that in the future he would make Tabs Outliner capable of simultaneously accessing multiple databases (a particular branch could have it's own database).  The idea being that this would allow Tabs Outliner to manage more nodes without incurring a performance penalty.

I could use this feature right now.  My current total node count is 46,550.  This is the most significant obstacle preventing Tabs Outliner from becoming a tool I rely on long-term.

Is anyone else running into this issue?
